The Defense Headquarters has said that Troops of the Air Component of Operation GAMA AIKI have murdered a few equipped criminals at Kasuwan Ango Community in Mariga Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger State.
Major General John Enenche, the Coordinator, Defense Media Operations, in an announcement on Tuesday, additionally uncovered that the operation prompted the capture of two foreigners in the state.
Enenche clarified that the activities were led the evening of Sunday and the early hours of Monday continuation of credible intelligence reports.
“Strikes executed by the Air Component of Operation GAMA AIKI at Kasuwan Ango Community in Mariga Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger State have resulted in the disruption of the activities of a group of armed bandits operating in the area.
The fruitful air operations were led the evening of 28 and the early long periods of 29 June 2020 sequel of trustworthy knowledge reports showing that some equipped scoundrels in black clothing were seen moving with an enormous number of rustled dairy cattle in the region.
“Accordingly, the Air Component dispatched a helicopter gunship to engage the bandits in multiple waves of attack leading to the neutralization of some of the bandits, while a few escaped with gunshot wounds. Two of the escaping bandits, who happened to be foreigners, were later apprehended.
