Security operatives in Enugu State have intercepted over 140 travellers while violating the lockdown order in the state. Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, said the state has recorded its first COVID-19 death. Makinde made the disclosure via a post on his Twitter handle on Wednesday evening just as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced one new case in the state bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 17.
